The club was invited to visit Hartenberg, Bottelary Hills, Stellenbosch; a new birding destination. We enjoyed a walk of about 3km, through the vineyards, alongside a patch of renosterveld and around a dam, giving a mix of habitatss. After the walk we had coffee and home made cookies and muffins in the cosy tasting room; once we could persuade everyone to stop watching the owl in the tree outside!
